My daughter and I hit one of the community ponds. We used artificial a so the fishing was slow. All were planters but it was fun to get out after such a long dry spell on my part.

Good for you. As I re-discovered recently, community ponds are a great way to get out for a little while. Any tug on such a short trip is a good tug.

I love fishing that pond. I hope to be there for a week, after Christmas.
I fly fish it with great results. Perhaps I will see you there. [signature]

Community ponds are great. Especially when you don't have time for a full blown trip and need your fish fix. My kids seem to do better at community ponds too. At least it holds their interest for a little longer than usual.

Indeed I usually hit the jordan river when I got a a couple hours. But I got lucky and my son wanted to go with this time. So we decided on a pond. And it was real good. It made me wonder why I don't go more.
