ice conditions at Yuba?

Has anyone been to Yuba since the cold snap. I have a trip planned down there on the 17 and am wondering if there will be safe ice or I should take my float tube.

Went by on New Years Day. We weren't fishing but the lake was essentially capped. No one one the ice. No holes punched. I would imagine there is some safe ice at this point.

I sure would love to know if that lake is actually got 4" of ice if so I'm heading down there soon [laugh]
