hyrum ice

Anyone have a report on the ice conditions at Hyrum? I would like to hit it in the morning. But if ice is not good . I wont drive that far. I will just hit Mantua.

I just checked the hyrum dam cam and saw a hut on the ice. Looks like they accessed the lake from the beach. Good luck if you decide to go

I checked the cam earlier today and seen the tent and individual fishermen in the same area so I expect it's still okay. We had a lot of cold last night and it only hit 39 deg today so I doubt it melted too much. Probably just be careful as you get on but it looks like you can still fish close to the beach anyway. Although it's supposed to warm up the next day or 2...AGAIN//GRRRRR..... It is only 13 degrees as of now, 7:15 Thurs morn. These colder nights ought to secure the ice sheet.

I'm sure hoping for more ice. Only about a month more potential for good ice. If it doesn't grow soon we'll have a really short season this year. Later J
