i have an eskimo stingray s 33 with the 8 inch blades.. Im thinking about upgrading to the 10 inch blades.. Does my auger have the power to turn the bigger blades.. Has anyone done this before and what were the results.. Appreciate any info

It will turn it, but not that fast. I borrowed a Mako with a 10"--it cut like a dog! But, the blades seemed dull...so maybe that delayed the fastness of it. I run a Z51 with an 8" and it does the job pretty quick! If I need a larger whole I usually overlap two holes in a figure 8 layout, but that seldom happens.

What do you need a 10" for? I've kicked the idea around, but I would probably buy a Strike Master auger and fasten it to my Eskimo gear head, I have access to a lathe otherwise I wouldn't attempt it.

Good luck!

I like the bigger hole. It seems like when I have my transducer in the hole there is less chance of getting tangled before I can pull it out. Thanks for the reply

Try the figure 8 before you spend the $ for the new auger. I do that for Pike and Macs.
