Just purchased a Marcum Underwater viewing system. It works great but I would like to record what I am seeing to take home and share. On the back of the monitor is an RCA out plug. The only thing the owners manual says is that it is a RCA out and that it is analog. It also says the recording device should be able to change it from analog to digital. What kind of recording device should I have and how do I connect? Thanks for any help.

I was also wondering this. I had to talk with Marcum service about a different issue (which they were great to deal with) and I asked them about this. The guy said that they get asked this all the time and he said that there is really no good way to do this. He said Aiptek used to make a converter that did ok for converting and if you searched around you could find one but then you have to connect it to a device that can record digital video. I did find this Sima GO Video Analog To Digital Converter - Walmart.com that would get to a USB but I don't know. Maybe an old video camera. It gets kind of messy it sounds like and way more than I want to deal with out on the ice. I think if a guy really wants to record he should go with the Marcum pancam that sends the wifi to your phone. I hope somebody has an easy button for this.
