East Canyon
#1
Just got home from fishing East Canyon. Ice is 8-10 inches, edges started to melt in the afternoon but still solid enough to get off easy.

We were on the North end near the dam, and between the 5 of us all we got was a few bites no matter what lure/bait combo we used. One guy not too far from us reeled 2 in but every one else around us seemed to be having the same luck as us. First time being skunked ice fishin' [:/] But it was still a nice day and enjoyed the fly overs from the Bald Eagles!

Hope to have better luck in a couple weeks at Fish Lake!

We were up there today too and everyone around us and ourselves had the same luck. The bald eagles were a nice sight, until one swooped low enough to my puppy to give us a scare... lol. It was a beautiful day, but not much action on the lines. We hadn't been skunked in a while either, so I feel your pain! Glad to hear it wasn't just us today [crazy]

Definitely not just you! haha that would be scary! The guy next to us threw one of his fish away from his sled and the eagle swooped in and grabbed it. Could watch them all day!

Dang that would be cool to see. I think we may head to Mantua or Scofield tomorrow, hopefully have some better luck (even if it is only some chubs out of Scofield). If I end the weekend on a skunk it will leave me restless all week... haha.
If you find yourself going out around here again send me a message, maybe we can all feed the eagles together. hahaha

Haven't Fished Mantua but Scofield is always fun even if you're only catching chubs. Yeah that would be fun! Don't make it up there much but hoping that will change!
