Chicken Creek East

We made it onto the ice around 7:15 am this morning. After squeezing through "tent city" we headed south to the island.

After setting up the tents the bites were on. We iced about a dozen Cuttys and not a single rainbow.

We fished in 25' of water. The fish were on the bottom and went after our 2.5" white tubes, tipped with shiners, mealies and wax worms.

The bite slowed so we moved about 50' and started hitting them again. It was a blast watching them on the flasher.

We ended up catching 28, all Cuttys...I don't dare admit how many we lost or missed.

Fun times!

If next weekend is anything like it was today, bring some grease to slide past all the people 50' from the shoreline Wink.

Just walk til your legs burn and start drilling holes!

Best of luck.

we're going to have two snowmobiles so we should be able to get away from the crowd. :-)
