Took my son and buddy fishing at Strawberry. It took us a while to figure out the right depth and pattern, but we figured it out. 15' of water and inches off the bottom. They all wanted an active jigging 1" - 2" action, bouncing right off the bottom. 2 fish were caught on white head and chartreuse body paddle tails tipped with a waxy. The other 3 were caught with small glow tube jigs tipped with a minnow tail. We caught 5 fish in a couple of hours and lost at least that many. I'm not sure if 4 were in the slot or not, since I didn't have a ruler and we released them. Both of mine were cutthroat trout with beautiful colors and my son caught 1 cut and 1 rainbow. My buddy caught the only slot buster (I'm assuming, it was longer than his pole), a football-shaped rainbow that took him a while a drag it through the ice (I'm still working on how to upload the video of him catching it). All fish were released to catch another day. As usual, none of us took sunscreen, the sun came out, and at elevation, our faces took a beating.
