Is anybody else having issues with this BFT site being extremely slow in popping up and moving to new posts?
It might be my computer, but anything else I do, other than BFT, speed and function are normal.

BFT site is working very well this morning. However, it always takes a long time to load large long threads. If a post/thread has 20 or more replies, it always takes a long time to bring them up. Shorter threads are fast though.

Yesterday the site was indeed very slow doing anything from any forum. It was slow with forum posts that had only 1 or 2 reply's, as well as For Sale items with no reply's..
Like 10 seconds to load a post. That is slow.
Seems better today!!

I agree totally cutter4. All other forums have a separate ad page. Never understood having all the ads down both sides. But, it was crazy slow yesterday. I would think the layout of BFT would be room for major problems. It really needs a face lift and clean up.
Got to admit, I don't come here very much anymore, not worth the time it takes to load.

I've been having the exact problem for several days now. I'm running Chrome, with Comcast, what browser and provider are you running? I'll report this and see if we can get some help. Anyone that is having this problem please respond with same info, so we can figure out what is causing this issue, thanks.

I'm not a programmer, but I have observations to lead to programming sequence suggestions that would speed things up.
When a BFT page is opening and I click a link on it, that link is locked out until all of the advertising loads. The links should be made active first because as soon as one can be clicked, that page is no longer on my screen anyway and I'm about to see the page I've selected which will have the same advertisements, so it is redundant to require them to load before moving to the selected BFT page.

Thanks Ron, this thread has been sent to management, not sure how long it will take to get it resolved but it hopefully will be fixed soon. Are you having this problem as well?

Curt on my phone lately it keeps loading stuff that you can't close or move on to the page, your only option is to download the junk or kill the session and start over. So that has really limited my time on site lately. Usually happens during my commute time so I've been giving up and taking a nap instead. Later J

There is malware on this site, targeted at android devices, most likely in one of the ads. I quit visiting the site for a while until Samsung pushed out a security update. Now, every time I open this site on the phone, I see "An application attempted to access system on your device without authorization. This attempt has been blocked." Check with your device's manufacturer or your service provider for an update to address the security flaw. Hopefully BFT will start taking security a bit more seriously. This isn't the first time.

This troglodyte uses a computer, not a phone. Win 7 and Firefox with popup blocker turned on. But MOST importantly, the AdBlock Plus add-in.
No ads, ever. No delays, ever. No freezeups, ever. No malware, ever. Page loads, one second or less.
But what do I know?
