I want to take my 3 kids ice fishing for the first time this weekend. Does anyone have any suggestions where to take them? I haven't been ice fishing for several years and am not familiar with the current conditions. I don't really care about the size of fish or species just want to see if I can find some action to get them interested in fishing with me. I have been thinking about hyrum or somewhere within an hour of Ogden

Not speaking from personal experience here, but apparently Mantua and Pineview have been better than a lot of other places this year.

Thanks. My kids are small so I have ruled out mantua because of questionable ice conditions. I may try pineview though.

If you don't mind the drive and want to catch a lot of fish, take them to fish lake

Thanks, I would go there if it wasn't their first trip. My kids are 7, 9 and 11. I dont want to go to far in case they don't last very long. I am thinking I might try Hyrum. I would do east canyon but there is a tourny there on Saturday. I have also thought about lost creek but haven't heard any good reports. I would do Pineview but I don't have a hut and it sounds like the bite is after dark.
