Mantua Report and Ice Conditions

Fished Mantua Monday (2 Feb). No problem getting on the ice at the boat ramp. The fishing was slow, but did end up with a dozen perch and 7 bluegill after hole hopping most of the day. Released a couple of bass and several small trout. The ice was getting soft on top when we left around 2 pm. Stay alert if moving around, there were several areas with open water near the middle of the lake and on our way back to the boat ramp from the east side.

Thanks so much for the report, I sure did not think the ice would be in that good of condition after the warm weather and rain we have had. Maybe one more weekend after all.[:/] Glad you caught some fish too, that is always a plus.[]
