I havn't been able to get up to da berry yet this year. Planning on hitting it tomorrow morning with a friend who is a major ice fishing newbie. I would love to get him into some fish. We have hit SC in the past with varied success. I havn't hit chicken creek or the ladders in a few years because they just havn't produced as well for me. Last time I hit strawberry marina the fish didn't want to seem to come up off the bottom to play. Sounds like the fishing has been slowing down. Any recommendations out there of where we should fish? I am happy to get a PM if you don't want let out any great secrets.

I am also considering the Berry, would like to hear a recent report. It is either the Berry or Scofield, they seem to be the only ones with decent ice.

3 of us ice fished the berry this morning out of East chicken creek, ice was a good 14 inches thick or so, fishing was slow, our little group ended up icing a mixed bag of Cutts and bows, we moved around and still got the same results with not a whole lot of fish coming through on the finders, dead sticking seemed to work the best, alot of the fish kept coming through on the bottom with lock jaw, most fish were caught in 30 ft of water around 20 ft down, hope this helps, their is a little bit of slushy crusted snow on top of the ice, just enough to make dragging a sled in the afternoon fun. Hope the ice holds up cause it got really warm up their today. Pink was the color of choice

Yes we took 2 snowmobiles on the ice with no problems
