I know the guy who runs the fish hatchery in fountain green and he was telling there was another fish hatchery that had 40000 rainbows that they didn't know what to do with so they dumped them into gunnison res. I don't know if the trout were able to survive in that lake but that was three years ago so there could be some good sized ones now if you ever hook into one. I would fish it for carp on the south end where you can take the turn to go there instead of pali

es. There is a channel that runs through the middle where the carp stack up. I would fish it three hundred yards north of the dam. If you want to catch a lot of fish go up to yearns. Its on 5th street in manti and head up the canyon for fifteen minutes. The best spot is fishing straight up from the cattle guard on the north west side. There still might be ice though but just throwing out worms I would usually catch at least ten in two hours. This is where I would teach people how to fish because you can catch so many. All kind of small but I did pull out a three and a half pounder 22 inch one once.
Nine mile was always my favorite for big fish but I heard it got drained this last fall. Maybe if the future it would be good but I would catch nice fish there with rapalas. I would have the most luck this time of year at pali

e. I would fish the dam and use gold jakes and we would get up to four pound tigers but not very big rainbows. Somedays the only thing I could get them to touch were white tube jigs.
I went to snow college and would go fishing up to five days a week so I know all the lakes pretty well. Its a fun place to be.
I don't know how to post pictures but I'll try to post a pic from nine mile
PM me if you have any questions about any of those lakes.
