Well, I still can't bring myself to hang up the auger, so I am going to try Strawberry next week. Since I haven't ever fish the Berry through the ice, a PM or two would be very helpful. I will figure out what they want to eat, but some suggestions on where to try (and depth of H2O) would be much appreciated. I will be on foot, so that will limit the areas I can fish.
Thanks in advance and I will gladly reciprocate with how it goes.

I am not the expert on Strawberry but have hit it a lot through the ice this year. I have done best with White with red fleck gazilla on a vertigo head, wax worm with anchovy smelly jelly. Second best with a chartreuse gazillia with same set up. Third with a chartreuse paddle bug. 20 FOW, catching usually at 10-15'. I go on foot but have found best catching when I was willing to walk (usually 1 mile). Though it takes some effort, I have usually caught much more that areas that have had hundreds of people fishing and the fish tend to look and leave rather than bite. I usually look for a cove or a point around the bank, the start drilling holes. You will need a spring bobber, the bite is very lite. A fish finder is very, very helpful in allowing you see if there are fish in the area and how they react to your rig. I have done best by dead sticking; occasional jigging to get attention, then let it sit still. Can't tell you where to go, that will be up to you, I usually go out a few miles south of the ladders. but an still looking for that magical secret spot! Some times it's hot, often it's not; It hasn't been hot these past 2 weeks so is ready to be hot! Oh, wear sunscreen!
Good Luck!
