I'm just curious does anyone know when Sr 65 will open up??? This year with the lack of snow I was guessing they would easily open up by now . Is there a set date each year when they open it up?
I'm itching to head to East Canyon with out doubling the miles just to hit that.

They usually don't open it until May. You could go thru Jermy.

Ya I checked udot before posting this. It's just weird to see that it's still closed when there's probably no snow what so ever on the road [laugh].

Bicyclists think it is their road for a month or two. Give me dirty looks for using it as a race course. Same with Butterfield.

It's time bicyclists start needing to pay registration fees to be on the road.
Bike lanes along side roads still have the same profile of asphalt, roadbase, and structural fill as the heavy truck lanes.
I'm tired of paying for their private lane.

I emailed udot about it and this was the response I received:
We do not have an expected date that SR 65 will open this year. Please check our website under Seasonal road closures. As soon as we have the anticipated open date we will post the date on the website. Last year SR 65 opened May 8th.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance or answer other questions.
Sincerely,
