Flaming Gorge Fishing Derby 2015

The Flaming Gorge Fishing Derby will be 16&17 May.

Registration is required by 15 May at Lucerne Marina.

Some nice prizes this year....

Let's see, 350 teams at $200 per team = $70,000.oo

Agree it is a pricey registration fee, but hey, if you did manage to win a prize it be a pretty good investment, right?

Isn't fishing in general, an investment?

I guess that's great if you have $200 to burn. I'd rather spend that money on tackle or boat gas. Contests like the one at Strawberry are better in my opinion. You can win much better prizes and you don't have to pay a registration fee.

I wish I knew how to use my boat better and knew Flaming Gorge better so that I could fish in this. I would love to go. You figure its really not that much for a team. Its just $50 a person. The expense comes with the gas, rooms, etc. All in all, it sounds awesome and I wish I could be there. [fishon]

Correction: I guess it is just 1-3 per team. Could get pricey, I suppose, but it really sounds fun.

I believe DU have one at the Gorge the first part of June, hopefully that money goes to a good cause.
