Well, calm days on Utah Lake don't come along very often so I figured I'd go catfishing, even though it was right after some stormy days. It turned out a lot better than I thought. Caught about ten catfish, one white bass, and the biggest largemouth I've caught in a really long time. It was definitely one of the biggest I've caught in Utah. Anyway, for the last hour or so, Coyote showed up and we had a good time catching cats and bs'ing. He was still fishing when I left. The wind kicked up, the bite kinda died and it was time for me to make like a baby and head out. Here's some picture.

I was targeting cats....and the bass was the first fish to bite. Total surprise.

I've lucked into a few bass the same way when I was after cats and you can sure tell its not a cat as soon as it starts fighting or at least the ones I have caught seem so different that it gets my attention right away. Glad you had a great day. Later J
