Decided that if I was going out better do it today. Just for some added info all 3 roll gates were closed by the pumphouse this morning. Made a run to Pelican Bay. Nada.
Hit AF harbor for a few with a few small whities. Decided to go down to Provo Boat Harbor. The DNR guys were there still trying to find some mama whities. They drug nets all over from the river inlet to the the mouth of the harbor. Didnt see how they did. Hopefully their efforts paid off. I ended up catching about 15 small whities. Most were males and dripping. A few that made 10 inches today. Maybe next week.

Sounds promising. I figure once the water temps can stay above 62 for more than a day or two things will light up. Thanks for the report.

[#0000FF]Good to see you made it out. Sorry you didn't get into the "happy hordes" as in years past.

I got a couple of 11 inchers yesterday but it has been a long time since I got a footlong or bigger. Fondly remember the days of culling a basket full of 12 to 14 inchers.

Here's one of the 11s from yesterday.

Ok after filleting the fish I kept most at 10-10 1/2 inches, all were male. Most had not spawned but 5 had spawned. No females again, not sure if the DNR guys did any better. Yep been smaller fish for last couple years and a lot fewer. We will have to see what a couple of warm high pressure days does. Either way would rather fish than do the yard work I was supposed to do. Got that done too when I got home.
