I am planning a 4 day trip to Flaming Gorge next week and was hoping for a little help decoding Wyoming's rules. I have an annual Utah fishing license. Near as I can tell, to fish on the Wyoming side I need:
1) Reciprocity stamp
2) Wyoming conservation stamp
3) AIS decal
4) Inspection
Am I missing anything? Does anyone know if the reciprocity stamp for sale on the Wyoming Game and Fish site is to fish with a Utah license on the Wyoming side, or for a Wyoming resident to fish the Utah side?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Flaming Gorge Reservoir
To fish across state lines at Flaming Gorge,
you must have a valid fishing license from one
state and a reciprocal fishing permit from the
other state. For example, if you buy a Utah
resident or nonresident fishing license, you can
fish the Utah portion of Flaming Gorge. After
buying your Utah license, if you decide you
also want to fish the Wyoming portion of the
reservoir, you must buy a Wyoming reciprocal
fishing permit. You can also choose to purchase
a Wyoming fishing license.
If you’re fishing the Utah portion of
Flaming Gorge, you may use two fishing
poles throughout the year and up to six lines
through the ice.
For more information on obtaining a Wyoming
reciprocal fishing permit or a Wyoming
fishing license, call the Wyoming Game and
Fish Department at 307-777-4600.
Utah reciprocal fishing permits are available
at wildlife.utah.gov and from Utah Division
of Wildlife Resources offices and license
agents that sell Utah fishing licenses.
If you plan to launch or fish on the Wyoming
side of Flaming Gorge, you must have a
Wyoming Aquatic Invasive Species decal on
your watercraft. You can purchase the decal
online or from a Wyoming license agent.
•You must sign your name on your reciprocal
permit the same way you signed
your name on your fishing license.
•You are subject to the laws and rules of
the state in which you’re fishing.
You can purchase your stamp from Walmart in Evanston, the Maverick in Mountain View or any of the stores in Manila. I do not think you need the conservation stamp unless you buy a Wyoming season license. Hope this helps.

You will only need the Wyoming conservation stamp if you purchase a annual Wyoming fishing license. This applies for any resident or non-resident annual Wyoming license.

all the big Kokes are in Wy.
I would buy the Wyoming AIS (Aquatic Invasive Species) Decal for $30 on the internet
Purchase Wyoming AIS decal
https://wgfd.wyo.gov/.../elsoaiswelcome.aspx
buy the $10 Wyoming reciprocal Stamp at Lucerne Valley Store or at the Maverick on your way through Mountain View, so you can fish WY. Don't pay more than $10 If you do you are buying somthing you don't need
just before you get to Evanston, Wyoming, you will see a sign that says all boats must be inspected on the Right side (South)
I think they open about 6 am. You need to stop.
fishing for Kokes look for boats
wall below pipeline, wild horse bay (anvil ) ranch house, Jap Island, big bend,
use pink are green Berkeley Gulp Maggots on your hooks.
buy a FISH-n-MAP of Flaming Gorge Res you can buy it on the internet.
A word of caution concerning Flaming gorge; storms will come up quickly and with them some serious winds.
kokanee salmon limit, three fish

I have fished Flaming Gorge two years previous to this one with the reciprocal license which was somewhat less expensive to the one day license. This winter I went to the Evanston Walmart as I always do and the sporting goods employee argued with me back and forth that there was no such thing and that I had to buy a full WY day license. I'm not sure if they have combined the reciprocal and the day license or if he just wasn't informed. I would just call WY's Game and Fish before your trip and get confirmation on all the requirements.

If you're going to launch and fish in WY, with a valid annual UT license, you'll need a WY reciprocal stamp and WY AIS decal, both of which are available online. You don't need the WY Conservation Stamp. If you launch in WY you need a mandatory WY inspection, available at Evanston Port of Entry, the Green River main office during work hours, or Anvil Draw turn off on Hwy 530. If you launch in UT and boat into WY, no WY inspection is required, just the UT decontamination and form is good. Hope it helps and good luck!

Incorrect on this part sir,
if you cross state lines while towing your boat you MUST STOP AT PORT OF ENTRY for the inspection, regardless of where you plan to launch at.
other then that, everyone else has it nailed right on the head
Wyoming AIS decal for the boat (30 bucks)
Wyoming Stamp (10 bucks, dont let them try to sell you some other stamp for $12)
Valid Utah license.

If you "boat" across the stateline, on the reservoir, you do not need a WY inspection. Hope that makes more sense.

makes sence to me, just making sure the OP knows that no matter where at on the gorge he plans to launch his boat at he will still have to stop at the Port and let the Wyoming fish&Game do their mandatory inspection.

Yeah I am definitely going to stop for the inspection. We're going to fish the Wyoming side and while I am not sure what the consequence is for not having the inspection but I am sure it is probably expensive.
I read that you can get an inspection at the Lucerne Marina. True or false?

[#800000]The items that everyone has listed above is ALMOST complete. But if you don't have a parking pass for your vehicle, you could get sited and put the dampers on an otherwise great day of fishing. [/#800000]

[#800000]Parking passes are $5 per day, $12 per week, or $35 per year (good for one calendar year … expires on Dec. 31st). The yearly one is called the "Flaming Gorge Annual Recreation Pass". [/#800000]

[#800000]RBF, like you, I like to go as prepared as reasonably possible. I don't like last minute surprises. A few years ago, I put together a little check list regarding these types of things. I have attached that checklist. It is a little outdated and I no longer need the directions to get there. But I just thought I would share it with you anyway.[/#800000]

If I'm correct you could only have 3 kokanee no matter where you fish on the lake but I could be wrong

Just something I've wondered about. If I catch a limit of rainbow on Utah side and I'm camped in WY. clean my fish and put them on ice could I then legally head upstream on the Green River and catch a limit of trout there on my WY. license? Thanks for your reply pizzaman 288.

Packfan, I believe that since you have actual licenses for each state and are not using the reciprocal that legally you could do exactly as you have outlined. It would be no different than if you went to and entirely different body of water. I do the same thing every year when hunting pheasants in both North and South Dakota each day. It is perfectly legal with a license in each state to possess a limit for each state.
I hope you have a great summer on the gorge buddy!

You'll have to keep me posted when you'll be up there in July so we can get together. Once I get this DAV event completed my calendar will open up.
