Planning a trip to the uintas
#1
We are looking at a target date of camping of 6/26-6/28. Does anyone have experience with the weather during this time of year? will it still be too cold to fish the "higher uintas"? anyone have any recommendations? any and all advice is appreciated. We are wanting to go somewhere that doesn't receive a ton of pressure, but doesn't take all day to hike in. Thanks

You should be able to access much of the lower Uintas by late June. Places such as Grandaddy basin, Trial Lake area, Murdock Basin, and maybe even Mirror Lake area. You may or may not be able to get into the highest areas, like Naturalist Basin, 4 Lake Basin, Red Castle, North Star/Tungsten, Painter Basin, etc. This is a rather low snow year, but those higher areas may be a week or two later. Good Luck

Going by the north slope this morning I saw a lot of snow still up high.

it's still a little too cold up there I would wait a couple more months if I were you. Then it will warm up a bit and the fishing will as well Wink
