deercreek with my grand daughter
#1
I had quit a fun little adventure with my 5 year old grand daughter. we headed out Sunday morning to put the hurt on some bows . catching fish was no problem . we ended up with 16 nice sized rainbows all in the 2lbs range and a really nice 3lbs brown . all fish were caught on the down riggers at 10 to 25 feet depth speed was 1.8 mph . we used rmt dodgers and various squids tip with gulp maggots. what a time multiple double hook ups and plenty of screaming drag. know for we got on the water at 11 o'clock and were off at 3 o'clock. now onto the adventure part . after my grand daughter caught the first 3 fish she decided netting fish would be even more fun than reeling them in , well it wasn't long before my new ego net ended up in the prop of the trolling motor [shocked]. then some how my sun glasses got broken during a one sided water fight , and to top it all off we got to see some kite boarders up close real close. she had a absolute ball catch all those mad as she calls them bows[Smile] we then hit the cleaning station where she loves to help her pa clean them mad fish. what a great day for me to see her enjoying the sport I love . and all the little hitches were totally worth the Smiles.

The last photo of your grand daughter is classic. Sums up the whole trip. I love taking my grandchildren fishing. Memories to last forever. Great report.

Great story and I'm sure you felt a little like a nap by the time you got home. I wonder how many times you had to answer "why?" during the day?

The memory of her time with Grand Pa will last her entire life. As you said the big Smiles are well worth the cost of a net and sunglasses. Good Job.

My granddaughter is also 5. I know how you feel. I just Smile in amazement at everything she does and say. I have an occasion to take her fishing this weekend before she goes back to Texas.
Great memories- thanks for your pics.

the squids were green cotton candy and Double Glow Rainbow Signature Squidfrom rmt and the dogers were fusion and bahama mama. I also ran a Hammered Nickel Assassin Spinner the squids worked best by far .
