Berry 6/3/15

I was all planning on gearing up to fish from shore and told a few friends and family where I was going on Monday.

My cousin has a boat and was going to go up with his dad and his dad was unable to, so he invited us.

We went out for our first ever boat adventure on the Berry.

The Ms. slammed it right off the bat catching 5 within the first hour (4 bows, 1 Cut) we then went into a period of down time.

We were trolling for the Kokanees and nothing.

A little later we went into a period of feeding frenzy, it's been about the same time we get them from shore.

I landed a 17" Bow that was 3 pounds and then at the end, I hooked up my first ever Kokanee and there at the end as we were trying to net him, he dove under the net and back up in the air and threw my hook.

All said and done we hooked up 10, let the Cut and some smaller Bows go and kept 4. Can't wait to get them into my smoker.

Thanks for posting your report, too bad the koke got away, that would have made a nice fish for the smoker. What time of the day did you catch it?

It was right around 3 pm when he hit, the other frenzied pace was right around 2 pm with the trout we caught which has matched our Shore fishing excursions here too.
