I'm heading out to the strawberry river pinacles this weekend and havn't been out there in a long time. I have a fly rod and spinning rod. has anybody been fishing out there lately? do you have any tips on what to use to catch some nice browns?
Thanks for the info!

Haven't fished there since the deer hunt. But have always done well with #2 red and white mepps spinners. There are some really great pools up the canyon a ways. Last I was up the beavers had been having a hayday. Some places the river was completely blocked and up onto the road. Good luck Hope you get some of those big browns out of your trip. I keep putting them back so everyone can enjoy them.

I haven't been out to the Pinnacles lately, but I have always done well there with a silver Mepps. However, I've never fished it in the winter. There are some really nice browns in that stream and many miles of river to fish. Let me know how it goes. If it's slow at the Pinnacles, try Currant Creek--it's always a good stream.
