Trial Lake 6/29
#1
I took my daughters and 3 nephews up to Trial lake and trolled around for a few hours. We arrived at about 6:30 and fished until 9:30. we caught 8 fish all together. All but one of the kids were able to land one in the canoe. We rotated the kids every 30 - 40 minutes of so, and stopped for some hot dogs and s'mores too. the lake was calm and glassy for most of the time. the youngest of the kids, my 3 year old nephew Jake let everyone on the lake and probably the canyon know when he caught his first fish ever. sorry if any of you were up there. He kept yelling, "I caught a fish! I caught a fish!"

It was a beautiful evening and a nice getaway from the hot city temps and my not so effective swamp cooler. We caught bows and tigers. They were all under 10" and all but one were significantly emaciated. Big heads and skinny bodies. Kind of Sad. Hopefully they can fatten up on the bugs. Most of the fish were caught north west of the dam on Jake's, blue fox and Rooster tails.

It's always fun to take the kids out and the Unitas are a great place to beat the heat as well.

I wish I could have been there to see and hear Jake. Always great to see a child get excited when fishing. Congrats on a fine outing Tony.

I have always felt that if you can't be loud in the Uintas then where can you be loud?

Thanks for the detailed report. Nice work out there.
