Well the fishing wasn't the greatest on the Utah side of the Gorge this last weekend. Lots of pressure, lots of boats and super hot! We did end up catching some fish with size, just not lots like I'm used to. We ran into some bigger Kokes on the Utah side which was a good change, several in the 3lb range. Then a couple decent Lakers, not huge but bigger fish than we are used to catching. My wife caught a 11# laker, the father in law got 2 over 15lbs and a few in the 8-9lb range. The lakers sure are fun to catch, lots of good fighting. All in all it was a slow but successful 3 days of fishing. Here are some pics to check out.

We were by the Red Cliffs and Mustang and all over finding fish, our problem was getting them to hit. We were trolling on bottom with pop gear for the most part.
Flaming Gorge is a fun place to get out and do some good fishing, but there are so many tubers and water skiers that think they just have to drive 50 years away from you when they have an entire lake to be had. Sure made it hard to fish the way we were fishing. I don't understand why these boaters couldn't use the other side of the lake where no one was at, but they decided right by us was the best option. Yes heavy metal ones, that's how we get to the bottom. It's a pain on the Utah side up and down bouncing pop gear off the bottom. But it works, just throw a chub on the tail end and you are set.
