Need to drop my wife off at the airport tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 pm then my son and I are heading to East Canyon to fish for a for while. Not the best time admittedly but I'll take any chance I can get. [

First time fishing there so I don't know really where to start. I will be fishing from a boat and I do have downriggers. Still working on perfecting them though as I only have one other trip under my belt using them.
I'm open to rainbows or smallmouth. I'm not picky. Would just like to hopefully get some action. Anyone have any pointers on what the best plan for attack should be? Best places on the lake to start? Preferred methods / lures this time of year?
