Riding in kayaks without PFDs? I must be quite naive because that is something I have never heard of nor seen. (and hope I never do!)

I wonder if it was something else besides drowning because it's really hard to find a spot with water deeper than chest deep in that area. Sure for them no matter the cause. I guess that's a new wake up call for me, I don't respect that water as much as I should because I can touch the bottom almost everywhere. Unfortunately that pond has more drownings than it should be careful everyone even when you think you're safe. Later J
