Hey Crew,
Finally getting the lady up and out again tomorrow morning to go fish Jordanelle. Haven't been there for awhile and looking for advice when it comes to where to go and what to use. I have some powerbait and going to get some worms for some trout. My amazing lady will most likely want to do something more active, i was thinking some jigs for some bass.
If anybody could give us some suggestions on where to go at Jordanelle with the gear we have or any other gear, i'd love to hear it.
Decker lake - Been going here recently for some time off the couch and away from the TV/Computer/Work. Having some great success. 2 weeks ago, i threw out some of that "chicken liver and chicken blood" dough that walmart has. Wasn't paying attention, noticed the line loose and set it. Pulled this huge Catfish all the way to the shore, went to grab the line and it snapped by 10lb line easily, right at the bank!! My buddy and i thought it was atleast 26" long, biggest fish I've caught or seen caught there. We've been typically been using worms and snagging some 10" - 16" cats, a few white striped bass, smallies and some perch. Some great fun for a 5 min drive from my house.
Anyways - All the recent reports about Jordanelle i've noticed are about fishing on the lake from boat, not the shore. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks and happy fishing!
