Or even better yet, does anyone know what the water's surface temperature is?

Surface water temp was 58 this last Wednesday morning and most of the bites were toward the top. Saw surface activity.

My son and I were there yesterday and did okay. We boated 10 slot cuts, four were caught on the surface and the rest were caught jigging at 25-40 feet. Surface water temp was 58.

I had to call in sick so I could go to Lake Powell!

Fished Renegade this morning. Water temp was 58-57 deg. Fishing was tough, a strong East wind came up early and blew me off the water. Caught two slot cutts.

My dad had a cabin for years and years at the old Clarks camp. He had a saying: 'When the wind is from the east the fish bite the least'. That saying held very true over the years and still does to this day. Don't know why but that's the way it is. I always watch the weather report for Strawberry and if there is going to be wind from the east I stay home.
