I was wondering if anyone knows if you can still launch a boat at Electric Lake. Thanks

I'll be up there this weekend camping. No boat here, but I'll see if I can do a little recon for you if it's not too late.

Check with the Price DWR office. They were setting gillnets today so they have to launch a small aluminum boat.
As long as it's not a large boat you should be ok. [signature]

Hopefully it's not too late for this info to be useful. On Saturday I was there and the water is definitely significantly lower than it has been in previous years. However there were still plenty of boats launching without issue, and lots of ramp still submerged.

I got a single tiger trout. Used a minnow trap to catch some shiners and used a shiner head to catch the tiger. He wasn't very big (12" or so), but he was FAT and quite tasty
![]() I think if you have even a small boat, and a sonar to find where the fish are hanging out, you'll have much better luck. I was shore bound, and with company that didn't much like the idea of walking around the circumference of the lake haha. We were fishing quite close to the boat ramp on the north end, and although the lake got down to about 35' deep at the maximum distance that I could throw my Deeper sonar from shore, I don't think I tagged a single fish or even any interesting looking vegetation on the sonar the whole weekend. The fish was caught because I tossed the minnow head out there and ignored it for several hours while trying various lures on another rod (and listening to the BYU/ECU game on a battery-powered radio... haha) All in all, I think there are fish there, but if you can move around and find them, you'll probably do much better than I did.
