I went up Fairview Canyon this past Friday with the intent to catch tigers out of Huntington, unfortunately the wind was really bad and I was float tubing. So I had to leave. I decided to try out Miller's Flat and am glad I did. After having some bumps on leech and midge patterns, I found they were in the mood for a hares ear nymph. Two hours and 9 fish later I left a happy fisherman. They were all rainbows.

Thanks for the report.
It's nice to have options to escape the wind on Mammoth. Miller Flat has some decent fish and has saved a few of my float tubing trips to Mammoth also.
They have stopped taking water out of Miller Flat and Cleveland so the levels should start coming up for the ice fishing season.

I have fished Millers Flat for the last 30 years during the elk hunt and this is the first year I have noticed crawdads there. They have sure put the girth on the fish. The largest fish I caught had 30 crawdads in it. Noticed alot at Cleveland also but I couldn't catch a cold there.

Yeah I noticed some dead crawdads on the shore. I still think the fish there aren't nearly as big as the ones at Cleveland or Huntington, but gosh they are fun!
