Beautiful day looking for that elusive walleye. Did see a brother catch a nice one from shore. I could see some on sonar at 15 feet but they didn't like my offering. Water temp 55 degrees . Trout were active and trolleys did good in certain locations. Pop gear & worm. Power bait was good at the river inlet. Lots of 9 inch planters. Did see some small pods of perch out from the island. It seams I can catch muskie easier than walleye.

How to you know the fish you marked were walleye? Did you have a camera as well? I have never seen a mark on my fish finder that I knew were walleye. Usually walleye are really close to the bottom. I have caught walleye before not seeing any marks on the fish finder. Usually when I am working a jig slow on the bottom.

Your right no camera, my sonar tells me it was right on the bottom just 15 to 20 feet below. Just as I saw a bank fisherman catch a very nice walleye. Could have been a smallmouth.

I was the fellow BFT member on the shore, the walleye was a 25in just over 5 lbs, my phone is charging will attach a picture tomorrow. There were some LM' s in that area caught a 2lb 16 in, a little after the walleye, caught 2 smaller ones also.

There have been some crappies suspended in those area's also lately.
