Tin Can settled in for a long winters nap
#1
Today was a very pretty day. All except for the WIND. I got out on Willard about 9 AM, spent 15 minutes washing worms, and 30 minutes getting back in to the marina. And was only our around the corner to the right.[:/].

Anyway, time of year now I have several family issues to concentrate on, so emptied out the boat, cleaned it up, covered it then wrapped it with plastic tarp. Plugs out and tilted to shed any water that may get in the next several months.

Not a bad season on the water. Have had better, and sure have had worse. Ended my boat fishin season just about the way it started.

14 Feb 2015, Willard Bay, calm, sunny, first catch of 2015 for me, a Willard cookie cutter cat.

Last Saturday 7 Nov 2015, cold, but sunny, calm

and 2 cookie cutter cats......

Today, cold, windy, and finish the year at WB with a skunk..[:/]

Hard to tell in the photo, but the main lake is white capping at about 3 feet, wind from south / east.

I know you said you don't ice fish. Give it a try...makes winter pass way fast...

I just received a new tarp last Friday to cover mine up. I wanted to hit Strawberry a few more times before putting the boat to bed. But the weather reports are not cooperating. Guess I better just bite the bullet and winterize it. I used to ice fish and have all the gear but since retiring I spend winter in sunny St. George.

It has been a longer than usual season. I will still be poking in at the site now and again, and my get in some bank tangling before everything freezes.
