Deer Creek Report

[Fish-Dog]

I Fished Deer Creek from about 12:15 to 3:00, near the island. Fished in about 16 feet of water 2 or 3 feet off the bottom. Fishing wasn't very fast but I caught (6) 17" to 18" fat rainbows. Couldn't find any perch. It looked like most people were catching at about the same rate as I was, about 2 fish an hour. The Ice was 6" thick. I used tube jigs and wax worms or night crawlers. Nice sunny day, no wind, no fog, 2" of snow on the ice, no slush.

how's the parking ? Do they have the state park open there at swim beach?

I parked at the Island, the parking was plowed to the top of the boat ramp. As I drove by I noticed that the road was plowed to the pavilion at swim beach. Parking fee is $5.00
