I had heard for years how tough they are to sharpen and how you shouldn' t attempt sharpening your own blades. I sharpen my own mower, chainsaw, and other blades so I figured what the heck I'll try.
I unbolted both blades and using the fine wheel of my bench grinder I kept as near the factory angle as possible. Holy crap, what a difference! It cuts about an inch per revolution. As far as keeping the edge, time will tell but if not I will just sharpen them on my own once a year and buy more tungsten jigs with the money I saved. [signature]

Last year I sent 4 pairs of 10" blades to fish307.com when they had a $9 per pair deal in mid Dec last year. I had them sharpen and return my original cores. I want to see how the same blades looked after they sharpened them. Two of the sets I had were from more than a decade ago that I had kept. All four sets were back to me in just over a week.
I put the oldest set on to see how it would cut last January and they cut like a new set of blades. It ran me about $12 per set after shipping costs. I will use these guys again for sharpening. If you don't find someone local try online.
