I can't give you any info as to it being frozen or not but in most years, it does not freeze until the end of the year. Some years that is a few days before Christmas, some years after because it is such a deep lake, it takes a while.

There's still no ice on the reservoir, with the exception of some accumulation around the edges. You can launch small, non-motorized watercraft from the Causey Estates parking lot. Use caution when descending to the water; the rocks are loose and you could slip and fall.

I wonder when they made Causey a non-motorized watercraft lake? It must have been this year because I know several members that trolled on Causey, with small motors, last year.

Thanks for all the info.Does the rule on boats say non motorized or wakeless speed ? It used to be wakeless speeds but maybe they changed it.

I've been using a motor. Just drag it up and down the hill from the dam. Seeing I'm the only one on the lake i've been running up to 7mph. Same with lost creek.

I don't think it's non motorized. It's just wake less. We motor on it every year.
