Huntington and scofield
#1
So I try to make out Christmas Eve ice trips every year, or the day after Christmas. Lat year we did Huntington and scofield and didn't have the best luck in the world. Seems like those are my main options again this year since I'm from the Davis county area. What should I be using on those two lakes, and where should I go on them? Any info would help, thanks!!

If your from davis county, I've had better luck at mantua than huntington, but if you go to huntington people have had the best luck with spoons tipped with worm, as well as I heard people really had luck using minnows. I don't know how they had them rigged but I heard they were working really well there. No idea about scofield never been.

i would probably go on the northly south easterly west line on the west end of scofield and the south east west side of huntington. You will probaly have the best luck catching some sharks and tuna on huntington with dog meat and whole chickens tipped on your 2 foot long crankbait. Drill a big whole. You might even pull out a wooly mammoth. Scofield i would use catfood tipped on your jig. Good luck. And my dad moght wanna go if you dont have room, cuz heck theres no geese.

Went both places this weekend, Huntington was crowded as hell Saturday. There we fished by the dam and tried about everything spoons with small amounts of night crawler as stated previously worked the best for bites but hookups were still few.

Scofield we fished at the inlet to the dam channel and it was a mixed bag went to big tubes etc to try and dissuade the Chubs and caught a few cuts no tigers. The Chubs would occasionally come through so thick my flasher screen would go solid. Anything night crawler brought chubs.
