Procrastinated

All week long as the fishing fever was intensely getting stronger, I was in this lull on whether to pull the trigger to hit some soft water or not. The weather pattern kept me kept me in hibernation most of the week. It was almost daily that walked out the front door and said to myself "I should have gone fishing". Temps weren't bad enough to keep me indoors to trigger the arthritis. Did manage to take a ride to see what the local lakes are looking like since my last outing 2weeks ago. First is Rockport, plenty of soft water, courtesy dock still in, browns should be playing. Next is Echo, it won't be long where this lake has still some soft water but ice is forming all around shoreline with areas reaching out away. Finally, E Canyon is still open with plenty of soft water but courtesy dock is removed. Braving the drive to Bear L thru Logan towing a boat is not my forte. Been in that pucker factor situation in the past. I'll just have to wait for a while when road conditions have had time to get cleared. With the onslaught of this next storm coming in on us, some of these lakes will more than likely cap.

I hear ya. Cold weather isn't my forte either. I did have plans to hit the hard deck Friday but it was cancelled at the last minute.

Don't so much mind the winter scene but the cold can change ones mind. The winter months are my favorite time for fishing and usually I frequent Bear L. This is a good time to be up there as the fish bite is on. It should go on for a while until the cutts finish gorging themselves with cisco. I have curtains for my boat inclosing 3 sides but need a back drop to retain heat on those cold days. I have a small buddy type heater that works great for a small area to heat up. Here I am in the calm before the storm & should be wetting a line somewhere. [bobdumb]

The next three days will be game changers for Utah. Just watch. This will be a gonzo storm.

I hope it drops a load of snow, wouldn't mind seeing it go all week long.
