Another Trophy Walleye in the net!
#1
As I posted before, I am new to Utah and I am still trying to figure out the Walleyes in the mountain lakes here. I was happy with the 29" last month and this weekend I did it again with a GIANT! 30" long and 18" girth. Didn't scale her as my scale was dead and I would never kill a fish like that for a weight. I estimate her around 12lbs. Started the morning at 9 degrees and froze my a$$ off, was the only boat on the entire lake. Most definitely was worth freezing for the 5 minute battle and quick photo session before she went back to the depths. She hit a #7 rapala rippin rap in 30 FOW.
FISH ON LADIES AND GENTS! [cool]

I have nothing to add other than that is a beautiful fish, showed it to my wife who isn't into fishing much and even she got excited and said how healthy and pretty it looked. A person can't help but have some respect for a fish that size, especially knowing how hard they are to catch and how smart they must be to still be around, may she continue to spawn for many years to come!

[cool]Gorgeous 'eye, and thanks for putting her back to make tons of babies. Not enough 'eyes in that lake. That lake will be frozen in a couple more weeks, so how are your ice fishing techniques? ;-)
