Flaming Gorge--Linwood Bay Ice?
#1
Does anyone know whether there's ice yet on Linwood Bay?

Not even remotely close. Water temp in Linwood is 41 degrees. Three weeks ago it was 43. No ice anywhere south of Buckboard yet, so it'll be a long time coming, if at all. It could, but not for a few weeks, at least.

[laugh]I'm leaving all my engines running 24/7 to provide enough greenhouse gasses to prevent any ice on the lower end of Flaming Gorge again this year so we can fish all winter from the boat. Hail Global Warming![Wink]

I don't think the Utah side will ever freeze again.

I'm hoping Jim can keep the snow of the ramp.

Oh no, I want the ramp as slick as snot with a foot of snow on it, with no wind, and the lake wide open. No, I don't ask for much!

Fishing goes in the gutter when the place gets overrun like it did last January. There aren't many places the fish hold in the dead of winter. (Think March).
