I like nooners

Working 4 hours on Wednesdays helps my fishing problem. Jumped on at a community pond right after I got off work. Pretty fast action for 8" bows. I got my feel and decided to leave after I was pushed out of my hole by some real jerks [cool] I posted a pic of the visitors so you can watch out for them.

I then made it to Hyrum for the rest of the evening. Getting into a few perch but was pleasantly surprised to find some healthy gills. They are by far my favorite species to ice fish for. Also caught a little bass (that makes 4 this season!). I started out aggressive, bright pink pug bug with a red plastic and wax worm. Caught 3 perch quickly then nothing but stares... Switched to a natural brown colored vertical jig with a waxie and moved in to 16 FOW. Started picking up gills and trout. Good evening fishing in the snow! I attached a little video catching some blue gill. They got shy when the camera was on... http://youtu.be/Nxxujzdskpk

Nice sized gils, looks like a lot of fun. Maybe tomorrow I'll make it out, I sure hope so anyway. I've been going crazy from lack of tugs. Finally getting to feel a little better too at least that's what I'm telling my wife so she won't put me under house arrest till I fully recover. So save me a spot. Later J

Spot saved [Wink] but I'll let you fish it since I won't be out there until Saturday.

Well I'll put most of the fish back for you... Might keep a few troutskis to smoke up... but I'll leave the other guys because I know others like them more than I do... Do you know if they have the waxies at the grocery store there in Hyrum? I don't have any, and usually just pick up my bait there while I'm grabbing a donut and chocolate milk, but if they are out I better get some in Logan tonight... Anyone know a good spot to pick up a pack or two? Thanks J

I know Wal-mart (south) had some and Sportsmans has some too. I checked at the Ridley's in Hyrum last week but could not find their bait fridge... Looked like they were getting rid of all there outdoors stuff upstairs? Real slim pickens.

Thank you, that's really good info to have so I don't plan on Ridleys and find no bait. Last time I got them there the fridge was up front as you first enter the store. Thank you. J
