Fished Hyrum from first light until about 3pm.
Started off at the Beach area a few feet away from a buoy in 23ft of water.
Put ANYTHING on the bottom and you will have all the Perch you can handle. Only a few of them were of good size. The rest rather small.
Got tired of Perch and moved to look for Trout.
Went to 19 ft of water...still a lot of Perch on the bottom.
Found Trout around 10-11 ft.
Caught several average Rainbows and 2 pretty nice ones.
Thinnest ice was around 5 inches. 8 was the thickest. However the first 2 ft out from shore was not very thick - easy to break through. But its a short enough hop that feet don't get wet.
Overall a fun day. Nice, light snow most the day with only maybe an inch or less on the ice.
