Just got home from hitting chick creek east. Pretty good action until 11 a.m. then it completely died. Caught 5 slot cuts using corn powerbait between the two of us. Didn't see any action on the lime green, glow, or white paddle bugs. Just in case anybody was still wondering there was about 12 inches of ice. A lot of people there, didn't see any doing better.

I was there also with two other guys, we had action that was consistently spurty. Fish were mostly suspended in 25-40 fow about 20 feet down. When it was sunny we found more fish on the bottom. Chartreuse and special blend cutr bugs tipped with mealies. Slot cutts and a couple nice rainbows we released. Pretty crowded out there! Sure was a beautiful day.

Thanks for the report.
It seems like when you find them in the middle of the water column they come around in circles and it will get really hot and fast for a few minutes then in will die down for a while.

Yeah I was using a vexilar. Marked some fish on the bottom but mostly suspended. Also of note, a school of chubs came through.
