went back up to JV today.. got there about 9:30 out on the ice and fishing.. first spot we tried i hit a nice 23 inch splake.. thought that might be the spot but after another 40 min's of not seening anything on the finder we moved out some.. seen some coming in every now and then then hooked a nice 19 inch cutt and then another about a hour later.. and missed 3 or 4 hit's after... my buddy dave had not even got a bit all day i tell him we are leaving so he needs to catch something.. about 5 min's later i look over right as he sets the hook into a nice fish.. after about a 20 min fight we got it in.. it was about 35 inch tiger musky sweet.. a fun day on JV...

there were some areas that was frozen, but for the most part it was open. seen a guy with a fly rod walking up the hill the other day.. not a lot of snow there, so it would be a easy walk i think.. [shocked]
