Flaming Gorge!
#1
First post here on BFT!

I have a few questions for you seasoned vets, or anyone that can spit some wisdom this way.

Myself and a few buddies want to head to Flaming Gorge this weekend but we are unsure about the ice conditions. We are all military and unfamiliar with the area. We were planning on Sheep Creek but after doing some research I can see that might not work out.

Where can we expect ice? We are looking to hook into some Burbot!
And do we need Wyoming fishing licenses if we have Utah licenses? May be a dumb question... had to ask.
Thanks for any help, it is much appreciated. And if you see a group of guys scratching there heads out on the ice, stop over and share a laugh.

I don't think there is any ice in Utah, you will have to go to Wyoming, and you will need a reciprocal stamp if you have a Utah license, $10 I think.

We are going to head to Wyoming, get the stamp and try our luck at Brinegar Crossing. The stamp is $10, no complaints. I appreciate the feedback.

I hear and I haven't been up there but up on the Wyoming side a place called Firehole has loads of burbot. Glow jigs and chub meat are all i have seen people use.

I think that's where we will end up going. I hear it gets pretty crowded during the bash. Not that its a bad thing. Thanks for the info!
