I have never been ice fishing in the evening at Strawberry. I always hit the morning bite. Is there a good evening time to fish? I want to head up tomorrow evening at stay late.
Appreciate any insight.
Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing. My 11 year old loves to ice fish with my. But he has basketball games in Saturday now until 1. I am usually going off the ice at that time, but I have seen people just pulling in while I am leaving so I have wondered what it was like in the evenings and how late people stay out on the ice.

I ice fish overnight most of the time, it's a lot of work but can be well worth it. The fish go in spurts during the night 8-10pm 1-3am decent action 4:30-7:00 is hot.

Just fished it tonight. Got good from sundown to 8:30. Slower from 4-6 pm but still worth it. It's a nice change and, like has been said, a little bit of work. But full moon, no wind, a normal temps make it fun. Two pieces of advice: use glow jigs and recharge regularly, and have one stick that can be an aggressive jigging rig while the other is a dead stick. (And a great break from practicing law!).
