I shared my "secret area" at No. Cemetary Pt. last P.M. with 2 good fishin' buddies, and again, the bite started about 6:00 P.M. We got there at about 5, and twiddled our bait and lures for about that first hour (I caught 1 decent perch by accident at 5:30)..When the bite started, all three screens were lit up like Bill"s face when he got caught playing with Monica...but the action and take was not as good...not as good as on my Tues. Pineview P.M. report...difference? I suspect it was the change in barom. pressure, as last nite was clear and colder, compared to Tues. being 10 deg. warmer and some lite snow falling...We did catch our crappies, 41 between us, but never that "can't keep 'em off the hook" period, like I experienced my past 2 evenings...Still, nice fish and fun...

In a nutshell, what makes your special spot special? Depth? Structure? Incline? Step-offs? Distance from other fishermen?

Really isn't a secret spot; I posted last week it's about 200 yds straight out from the walk down spot at N. Cemetary...40' of water..near where 'tent city' is during the days...need your 'eyes' under water to find some, then just sit tite 'til they show up in bunches . My first eve they showed up at about 5:00 p.m., and the last 2 times out the bite started at 6:00 p.m., when a lot of other groups of fishers were leaving..small glow jigs, fishing just off bottom, wax worms, 1/2 meal worm, or butter worms all worked at different times...changing presentation helped, so I have 4 poles pre-rigged to change when the bite slows...lower barometric pressure seems best...guluc..
