We just got home an hour ago. We fished the south side off of big toe. We used Rat finkee's glow jigs either chartreuse or orange tipped with a spike. Perch were plenty (between 5-10") Perch were 6-12" from the bottom, and trout were between 3-10 feet from the surface. Lots of a perch, much fewer trout. 8:00 am today was active hour and we cooked up and ate much of what we caught. great time!
Fishing was decent until about 9:00 pm then turned off for a while...I was surprised but there were at least 4 other parties that spent the night out there besides us.
Here is what pissed me off!! this afternoon, a person in our group caught...NOT 1, but TWO (2) stinking sucker fish with large scales, and mouth/snout that curves down to the ground proving what bottom feeders they are! What the crap?!? i have NEVER seen one of them come out of Hyrum through the ice, but today there were 2! Does anyone know that that is all about?
