Does anyone know if you can get a snowmobile onto the ice by the dam?

It will depend on the depth of the snow. The upstream face of the dam is covered with large riprap & there is a gate that blocks the road across the dam. I believe I have seen snow mobile trails going up the east (left) abutment of the dam in years past with deep snow. I would not try it if the snow isn't deep enough to cover/fill the voids in the riprap.

You can travel around the reservoir and access the ice from the north & west sides of the reservoir.
