Yuba Pike
#1
I am hoping to try for some pike this spring in Yuba. I have fished muskies extensively once upon a time, so I am familiar with tackle and technique. However, I have not ever been to Yuba. I dont have a lot of spare time, so if I am fortunate enough to get enough time to make a quick trip, I want to make the most of it. Is fishing usually better in the North end or the South end of the lake? It looks like there is only one launch. Is that correct? I just dont want to spend tow days searching and figure it out in time for me to leave. Any help will be greatly appreciated. PM me if necessary.

Thanks in advance. I hope to check this off my species list.... Tried in Montana on two occasions, and never timed it right..... Pike and Striped bass are my last two species for the state.

There are actually two launch ramps. One at Oasis near the dam and the other painted rocks at the south end. For places and being able to launch safely depends how much water we get this spring.

You'll want to fish from painted rocks north. The south point of east beach has had some good pike caught there. The bank line straight west of east beach (can't remember the name) I have caught some good ones along that bank. Hope this helps.
